Who is this course for?
This course is for people who are ready to make a change. It's for people who are sick of letting anxiety run the show and want to take the power back. This course is for people who are willing to put in hard work and follow through with the concepts, ideas, and assignments outlined. It takes work. It takes effort. And it's worth it.
Who is this course NOT for?
If you are in active crisis or are currently suicidal, this course is not for you. Suicidality can most definitely be a part of struggling with anxiety and that's okay. But this course is not going to give you the help that you need if you are currently considering suicide or are in a state of crisis. If you ARE in crisis, please check out the emergency resources on my website: https://www.duffthepsych.com/emergency/ This course is also not for people that are afraid of putting in the work. You have access to this course indefinitely once you purchase it, so it's okay if you aren't able to keep up with the pace all the way through. However, if you are not yet ready to put in the hard work to change the structure of your life and take the power back from anxiety, you may not benefit from this course. This course is also not for people that are afraid of a little colorful language. This isn't a stand up comedy routine and I'm not dropping F-bombs every other word, but I'm not afraid to spice it up. Sorry not sorry.
What materials do I need?
For this course, you will need to have a physical journal. You can purchase a nice faux-leather one for relatively cheap on Amazon or at your local book store. You can also just use a composition book or regular notebook if you are cheap :-p. Best to get this before beginning the course, if possible.
Can I be in therapy while I take this course?
Absolutely. You can still take this course if you are already in psychotherapy/counseling. You can also take up therapy in the middle of the course if you feel like it would be helpful. This course makes a great "add on" that can jump start the progress that you make in therapy.
Does this make you my therapist?
No. I care deeply about your progress, but purchasing this course does not make me your therapist or your psychologist. I am acting as your teacher and guide through this process but we do not have a professional care relationship. This is for my safety and yours. Also I'm not a fan of getting sued.
When does the course start and finish?
